The Stem Cell Person of the Year is an award created by Paul Knoepfler, Ph.D. author of the Knoepfler Lab Stem Cell Blog which can be found at ipscell.com.
The Stem Cell Person of the Year award was started as a way to recognize a stand-out person in the industry. Knoepfler defines the winner as someone who is difference maker, someone who takes a risk to help others.
I am writing this post to thank The Stem Cell Podcast listeners for supporting my nomination. Due to our listeners support, I was recently voted as one of the top 12 finalists for The Stem Cell Person of the Year award for 2014. Thank you for the support.
Honestly, whether I win or not, just being nominated and mentioned in the same post as these other amazing people in our field is very gratifying. The benefit of an award like this is not who wins, it’s the fact that it gives the Stem Cell community exposure which is what we need as our still young field is growing.
Thanks again for you support. We’ll keep the episodes coming as long as you keep listening and giving us feedback.
