Dr. Madeline Lancaster is a Group Leader in the Cell Biology Division of the Medical Research Council Laboratory of Molecular Biology, part of the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. Her team developed cerebral organoids as a model system to study human brain development.

Her latest publication describes the generation of human CNS barrier-forming organoids that are selective to small molecules and secrete cerebrospinal fluid.
