Dr. Sergiu Pașca is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford, and the Bonnie Uytengsu and Family Director of the Stanford Brain Organogenesis Program. His team uses brain region-specific organoids to understand how neurons find their final position in the brain and how they mature functionally.

In his recent paper published in Science, his team developed an organoid model of human forebrain development to examine chromatin accessibility and gene expression at the single-cell level.
