Dr. Camilla Forsberg is a Professor of Biomolecular Engineering and Co-Director of the Institute for the Biology of Stem Cells at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Her lab investigates hematopoietic stem cell fate decisions by using in vivo and in vitro experimental approaches, by focusing on specific molecules, and analyzing global changes.

Her latest paper in Stem Cell Reports has shown that a combination of two clinically approved drugs – Viagra and Plerixafor – could rapidly mobilize hematopoietic stem cells from the bone marrow into the blood stream in mice.
