Dr. Rita Perlingeiro is a Professor at the University of Minnesota. Her lab focuses on understanding the mechanisms controlling lineage-specific differentiation of pluripotent stem cells to generate tissue-specific stem/progenitor cells endowed with in vivo regenerative potential.

Her recent paper in PNAS explores the nature of in vitro-generated iPSC-derived myogenic progenitors, and their fate after engraftment.
