Dr. Shannon McKinney-Freeman is a Principal Investigator at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Her lab explores the fundamental biology of HSCs, particularly the genetic and cellular regulation of their in vivo repopulating activity. By better understanding the factors controlling the ability of HSCs to home to, engraft, and repopulate the hematopoietic compartment after transplantation, they hope to develop better and more effective HSC transplantation therapies.
