The Stem Cell Podcast host Christopher Fasano, PhD was recently interviewed by NBC.
Fasano discussed his research which revolves around identifying the effect of Bisphenol A (BPA) and similar chemicals on the brain of developing babies. Fasano is particularly interested in how these chemicals found in the everyday products may trigger autism. He discussed the new technology that will enable them to test directly for the first time how a chemical can alter sequencing of brain development. The federal grant allows them to have higher throughput and test thousands of chemicals at a time.
