Dr. Freda Miller is a Senior Scientist at the Hospital for Sick Children Research Institute, and Professor at the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on the cellular mechanisms that regulate development of the mammalian nervous system, with a particular interest in stem cells and trophic factors.

Her lab’s recent publication identifies a mechanism for mammalian digit tip regeneration in adult mice through the acquisition of a blastema state.
