Dr. Thomas Reh is a Professor of Biological Structure at the University of Washington. His research is focused on retinal development and regeneration using stem cells and organoids, with the goal of stimulating more effective regeneration in the retina to restore vision in people that have lost their sight.

Published in Cell Reports, his team conducted a single-cell RNA sequencing comparison of fetal retina, retinal organoids, and retinospheres to study key developmental transition states of the human retina.
